Training Program: BARBER STYLING (1500 hours)

Objective of the Program:
When students satisfactorily complete the 1500 hours of Barber Styling, they will be prepared to take the examination offered by the Department of Business and Professional Regulations (D.B.P.R.) and have developed the skills and abilities necessary in field of Barber Styling.

Description of the Program:
The study includes understanding theory and obtaining experience and practice based on the technical of Barber Styling, including the study of the hair, chemistry, the skin, and the products and equipment used in this profession.

Requirements of Graduation:
The student will have to complete 1500 hours of training with average minimum of 75%.

Requirements to Obtain the License:
The license is transmitted by the Florida state board, provided that the (board) examination is passed with a 75% or more. To be eligible to present to the exam, the student must fulfill all attendance requirements from the institution, present an HIV/AIDS certificate of completion with the application, and send a money order of $ 241.50 if applying between April 1 of even years through  July 31 of odd years, or a money order of $ 191.50 if applying  between August 1 of odd years through  March 31 of even years.
